The existence of Business Continuity Plans can be used as an aid to marketing by demonstrating to your customers that even during a crisis you have control of your business. It is also in the interest of your business to ask that your key suppliers maintain their own plans and you are able to audit them.
New UK Law Promotes BCP
It is very significant that the Civil Contingence bill due to become law in 2005 places a legal requirement upon essential service suppliers to have BCP in place. Many of these companies are in turn expecting similar from their suppliers.
